ALEJANDRA
JIMENEZ

Alejandra was born in Columbia and trained as an architect. In 1998, she won
a development commission for Channel Four’s Animator
In Residence scheme in 1998 and directed a five-minute short
ANDARES IN TIME
OF WAR, produced by Halo Productions.
‘Andares’ has
been screened at many festivals including Toronto International,
Hiroshima, Zagreb, New York Human Rights and is now part of
the permanent collection at the War Museum in London. As well
as directing her own films, Alejandra has worked as an animator
for short films and commercials, specialising in image manipulation,
compositing and transformation from drawn to live action images.
Alejandra’s image
manipulation and compositing has appeared in Animus Films’ THE
CAT WITH HANDS, THE
SEPARATION and ROOM
SERVICE. In 2003 she
finished a short course at the National Film and Television
School on Special Effects for Film and Television.
She is currently developing a short animated film, 'The Murmur in the Wall'. |
